Suerte means "luck" or "fortune" in Spanish.

But fortune is not shaped by chance alone. It is shaped by noticing what we might otherwise overlook, asking honest questions, making choices, and taking action. Over time, these small acts can change the course of a life, a team, or an organization.

Approaches and Tools

Suerte's work does not rely on intuition alone. Where helpful, we draw on assessments and structured coaching frameworks to support self-understanding, relational dynamics, decision-making, and behavioral change.

We do not apply assessment results or methodologies as fixed templates. We use them as materials for deeper dialogue, after clarifying the situation, the questions beneath the surface, and the direction each person or organization wishes to move toward.

Hogan Assessment

The Hogan Assessment is a multidimensional assessment of workplace personality. It looks at three dimensions: the Bright Side (how people tend to engage with others when at their best), the Dark Side (behavioral tendencies that may emerge under stress), and the Inside (core goals, values, and motivations).

We use the Hogan Assessment to support self-understanding, leadership development, career decision-making, and the clarification of workplace relationships and dynamics. Rather than treating results as labels, we use them as material for dialogue, helping individuals understand their patterns and consider how to make choices more intentionally.

Coaching Methodology

In Suerte's coaching, we do not rush to quick answers. We begin by carefully putting words to uncertainty, discomfort, and what feels unresolved. What is the source of friction? What truly matters? Which choice can you stand behind? What needs to change — in yourself, in your relationships, or in the organization?

Rather than offering temporary encouragement or answers from the outside, we create dialogue that helps each person think, choose, and act in a way that is truly their own.

AYAMI OKADA

Founder and CEO

I have spent more than 20 years working in HR and organization development across Japanese corporations and major global companies. My work has covered nearly every area of HR except payroll, including recruitment, labor relations, talent management, organizational development, and HR policy design. I have also led teams as a manager.

I hold a bachelor's degree from the Faculty of Foreign Studies at Sophia University and an MBA from Waseda Business School, where I graduated as valedictorian. I am certified to use the Hogan Assessment and continue to study coaching methodology systematically.

Having changed schools frequently from an early age due to my father's work, I naturally developed the habit of observing new environments, interpersonal dynamics, and the atmosphere in a room. In my third year of university, I spent a year as an exchange student in Argentina, traveled across South America, and experienced what it means to live amid diverse values and constant change.

After years of working with organizations through HR, I came to believe that neither people nor organizations are moved by well-designed policies or logic alone. At the same time, I have also seen that when what feels off is not ignored — when it is carefully put into words and connected to the right dialogue and design — change can gradually take form.

I founded Suerte Inc. to put what I have experienced, witnessed, and thought through to use for individuals and organizations navigating uncertainty. Today, through coaching and HR / Organization Development consulting, I work alongside individuals navigating career and life decisions, leaders facing complex choices, and organizations seeking to shape change from within.

I also write a note series titled "Translating common workplace phenomena through an HR lens," where I put words to the unease, questions, and tensions that arise in organizations through the lenses of HR, organizational culture, career, and the talent market.

The words I hold closest are those once given to me by an HR mentor: “Pay attention to what feels off.” Suerte's work begins from this same place.

Initial Dialogue

In an approximately 30-minute conversation, we listen to what is happening now, what you would like to clarify, and where you hope to move next. Even when many issues are intertwined, we work together to identify the key questions worth addressing.

This is not simply a service introduction. It is a session to clarify your current situation and identify what may be useful to consider next.

Proposal and Getting Started

Based on the initial conversation, we may propose the scope, duration, and approach of support. Once both parties are aligned, we formally begin working together.

Pricing

Fees are discussed individually based on the nature of your inquiry and the scope of support required. The initial consultation is provided on a paid basis. Before any formal engagement begins, we will clearly communicate the fees, timeline, and approach.
